July 4, 2010 - Kingsport, TN to Chattanooga, TN

We popped into Knoxville, TN but they wouldn't feed us. This is a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives recommendation we visited last year.

Is THIS where all that money goes????

Or maybe the money goes here...

PLUS SIGN!

Tennessee is confused. Or maybe just not very creative when naming cities.

The other Cleveland State
Next year we're totally doing this.

Happy fourth!

Stephanie, Todd and Cathy, a Chattanooga native. Hi Cathy!

OMG! Stephanie found another hair twin!

This is where she works. And where we ate and drank with Cathy.

Stephanie wants to go on this kind of roadtrip too. She loves her coffee!

Uh-oh

Yikes

Eesh

Church group! Todd scalped tickets off their leader!

Welcome to Dodgertown, TN!

They even offer this here!

Road to the show, plus distances.

The 'Nooga-mobile?

The fans kept the fans cool.

Dolla dolla bill

Peyton has a street named for him!

Stephanie and Booie

Booie led the crowd in the singing of half of "Take me out to the Ballgame."

Hi Jeff and Tera!

Moo?

View from the outfield

Remember all those people outside? They got hungry.

It's a good thing John McCain was there to feed them.

This is where we saw two 60-year old couples breaking in to the ballpark.

That's our hotel out there.

One of Stephanie's favorite players is their manager: Hi David Bell!

The Lookouts wore special jerseys for the holiday.

Which evidently worked for them as the Chattanooga Lookouts (AA for the Dodgers) beat the Carolina Mudcats (AA for the Reds) 8-4.

After the game everyone filed onto the field to watch the fireworks.

This guy was there the whole game. (it's not a real guy)

FIREWORKS!

The crowd, lit by the fires in the sky.

Ooh!

Aah!

The ballpark the next morning from out hotel room. It's still standing!
Thanks Chattanooga!
